Mr. Bailey’s Minder

by Debra Oswold
Directed by Kaye Lopez
By special arrangement with The Cameron Creswell Agency Pty Ltd

Mr Bailey’s Minder is the fictional story of Leo Bailey, one of Australia’s greatest living artists who battles to survive the effects of alcohol, cynicism and self-loathing. His resentful daughter Margo, one of his many children, is prepared to help, but she does so at arm’s length. Leo has been through a succession of minders who could not stand Leo’s vicious tongue and wild antics. But along comes Therese, down to her last job and determined to make a go of it. A funny and deeply moving play about friendship, ego, art and the secret longing for a better life.

Rumors

10th November – 2nd December
By Neil Simon

Hilarity abounds as guests arrive at the New York City Deputy Mayor’s townhouse to find the host has shot himself (though it’s only a flesh wound), his wife is missing, and there isn’t any food! The party guests are desperate to hush up the scandal, if that’s what it is, that surrounds their unseen host. As the confusion and miscommunication mount, the evening soon spins out of control in this non-stop laugh-out- loud Neil Simon farce.

The 39 Steps

4th August – 26th August
By John Buchan & Patrick Barlow
By arrangement with ORIGINtm THEATRICAL on behalf of Samuel French Inc.
Directed by Carla Moore
The debonair Richard Hannay is pulled into a web of intrigue and deceit after attending a vaudeville show in London. Pursued by a shadowy organisation throughout the UK, entranced by femme fatales and twisted into knots by skulduggery and suspicion, Hannay must solve the mystery of the 39 Steps and save his skin before it is too late. British comedic genius Patrick Barlow riffs off both the original novel and Alfred Hitchcock’s hit film to create a wonderfully deranged comedy of fast-paced fun, thrilling action and riotous invention.

Cast:
Richard Hannay: Martin Bell
Annabella/Margaret/Pamela: Julie Moore
Clowns:  Charli Lucas and Tracey Okeby Lucan
